Qualifications

I am a qualified translator with a Diploma in Translation (Science and Technology) from the Institute of Linguistics.

I also have a Degree in Modern Languages from Salford University.

Experience

• Three years as a modern languages teacher in secondary schools
• Ten years teaching German in the chemical industry on Teesside with the ICI Language Unit and The Language Service.
• Freelance translator since 2001.

Professional membership

I am a member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and as such, I respect the ITI Code of Professional Conduct.

I am also a member of YTI, a regional network for translators and interpreters in Yorkshire.

I have full professional indemnity insurance.
